Looking at the trades for more riven farming, I'm struck by the ceramic knife love and feel like researching
The new incarnon mode made it the best stat stick, with crazy perma combo counts. And of course rivens make stat sticks even more ridiculous
It's also a permanent 8x combo heavy attack spammer, after you build up, and the heavy shoots heat-element projectiles, so you can mod toxin to shoot red-critting gas bombs all over the place. It's not just the stat stick, that thing's pretty good regardless. I still prefer the Praedos, though.

MarcoMeatball released a video telling people why they should give Warframe a shot, and I'm glad he did because I've been watching his recent videos of him playing through the game's story quests and his reaction to things really seems genuine and emotional and thoughtful. It kind of let me relive my experience first playing them, seemingly ages ago lol. Plus the dude really loves the game's music and while I don't know sh*t about f*ck when it comes to music, he certainly does and I like hearing his thoughts about that in particular. Gonna send the video to a couple friends of mine and see if any of them finally bite on the game. Thus far my friends have either resisted trying it entirely, or they tried it once like 9 years ago for a few hours and uninstalled. Now with cross-platform stuff I think I might be able to sell them on it a bit more since we could play together.

Not sure if it's enough to make it better than the other perk, but worth being aware of as a Latron enjoyer

Same, and I rarely watch "streamer" videos (even others for Warframe, as they mostly seem to be about bending the meta into a pretzel to fill the screen with red numbers), but this sounds exactly like the sort of thing I am interested in. Thanks, I'll check it out.

I am ride or die for the lex incarnon.
It feels so good with a fairly maxed out slash/heat status+crit build, abusing the hemorrhage "impact procs sometimes cause slash status" mod with the incarnon form's super high base damage, catchmoon/arca plasmor-like punching through AOE, and slow fire speed for the bonus chance of hemorrhage activating, and guaranteed impact procs to feed it on every shot.
You shoot it at a steel path crowd of normal guys once or twice, they all get big fire and slash procs and chunk down the rest of their health for a seconds or two then explode.

Since I ain't got prime, I do that with regular Excal, Braton, Lato, and Skana, and remove whatever companion I have. Sometimes I even strip all their mods off and use em raw. Next time I do that I should also remove my profile glyph and look like a complete noob, unless someone notices I'm MR27 lol
edit: I don't tend to do whatever is currently meta, but I have been looking at incarnons since those are probably a good step up. What are some of the better ones, and are there any "trap" ones that suck and aren't worth the effort of acquiring? Is there a reason NOT to put an incarnon thingie on a weapon and instead build a weapon specifically for an incarnon?

Nah, they're all "just fine" at worst, "absolutely f*ckin' bonkers" at best. And you can remove the adapters if you want, too. (For resources I think, idk how many.)
If you like DMR/dakka, the Phenmor is a treat, if you like DMR/kaboom, the Latron is idiotic (it shoots bouncy balls that explode), the Laetum is a great secondary pistol/SMG, any of the melee are probably fine but I like the Praedos, and the Felarx is a shotgun that turns into dual-wield Arca Plasmor pistols.
I think the Strun turns into a grenade launcher, but I haven't tried it yet. Trend is "kind of ridiculous" though, I think you see. Oh, and the Torid is just so good. So, so good. Possibly "best primary in the game", definitely "best beam weapon in the game". So easy to use, too.

You mean you don't just hit the giant laser button over and over again as fast as possible so it keeps going off over and over and over and over and over giving you a vicious headache from the shaking and flashing and THOOM over and over SHUT UP SALAD?
NO REASON.

So.......
I picked the duvari perk that made me faster with every perk
I got a lot of perks.
I figured out duvari, you're in a medieval settlement and ride around doing knightly things in your run, getting as many perks as possible. Then finish the main quest and fight the
dragon
So yeah, that last bit glitched out, couldn't do any of the flying things, but......I got a lot of perks.
Enough perks to the point that I was faster on foot than I was the freaking horse.
Had to quit due to glitches but....holy sh*t.

I like the combination system well enough, although I wish I could decide whether an innate element gets combined with mods or stays on its own
BahamutZERO wrote: »
IIRC the way innate elements works is they are considered to be on an invisible mod at the end of the list for the purposes of combining, so they'll combine with whatever the last uncombined element in the loadout is, if there's no other mod adding that element earlier in the order
I know these are from a couple pages back but now that I'm playing around with my Torid I have some more specific examples. Mechanically it seems like an innate element should save me a mod slot: I want to run heat/corrosive, cool, Torid base toxin should save me from slotting Infected Clip.
But that's not how it works, I'm still stuck running IC because theres no way to force it to combine the innate toxin with Stormbringer and if I don't slot IC I end up with toxin/radiation instead of the intuitive heat/corrosive

I did the thing to get wisp and I did it for steel path and 7k nightwave spacebucks are not enough to get me to do it again.

For a weapon with an innate element, there is no way to get a single element of your choice on the end unless it's the innate element of the weapon and you use none or an even number of element mods. The innate will always combine with a single, or third elemental mod, it counts them as if reading a book, left to right, top row then bottom. I'm not sure if this next part is still how things work, but my understanding is thus
Elemental damage bonus's from sources other than mods on the weapon add in a specific order, but always after the 8 or whatever regular slots. The order is Heat, Cold, Electricity, Toxin. They always add at the end, so if you have any elemental damage mods that don't have a mod partner, they will be added to the first innate element in the order above. If you get a buff while playing from someone, it will be added in the order above and can change if you get more than one elemental buff from any source.
So, mods combine first, in regular western book reading order. Elemental damage from ANY source other than mods on weapon will add last, in the order of HCET. They will combine in that order and recombine when new elemental sources are added. You can pull some cool tricks off with the right frame mods on your team mates.

If you have elec on your weapon and you want heat, then you could put mods on in this order Elec, Toxin, Heat and you'll get corrosive and heat.

Yep, I should have worded that "and you use none or an even number of other elemental mods than the innate, though only the first instance of a given mod matters in regard to elemental combination. And of course doubling the innate element with a mod on the end will supersede the HCET order of non weapon mod elements.

The only way around a system like that, with one order of combination or another, is to have some sort of toggle between each mod slot where you could assign potential elements you don't have yet, or innates. They'd have to stick them someplace, in one order or another. Either before your mods or after. do you want to be forced to use combos with an innate element unless you put in extra mods, or do you want to have to put in extra mods to use the innate in a combo? They chose the one I'd prefer, but maybe a way more complex modding option would open it up to what you want.
