New team members have a ton of anxiety leading up to day 1 on the job.So how are you helping ease their nerves and transition?Pre-onboarding has become just as important as onboarding, here's how to nail it:👇1. Introduce them to their teammates prior. The main question they probably have is am I going to like my co-workers? Will I have any friends? This helps alleviate this so they can focus on the job day 1.2. Help them with housing costs- Try to pair them with roomates if they are looking for them. See if you can find apartment deals with your sponsorship team. Helping alleviate costs can be a huge recruiting tool as well.3. Food and entertainment recommendations- If they are moving to a new city chances are they have no idea where to go. Integrating themselves into the city will be a huge part of their experience working for your organization, make sure it’s a good one from the start.4. Constant communication- They probably have a ton of questions and feel bad about hitting you up. Reach out regularly to day 1 to see how they are doing and if they have any questions that have come up.5. Gifts- In the sports world we typically have a ton of free stuff laying around the office.
